Can a provider render these services if the patient is in a snf brain dead?

I'm not aware of any guidance that says a provider may not render this service, but the question here would be why would they? If the family or guardian has decided that they want to keep this patient alive as long as possible, then there might be a reason to perform this in order to create and update a plan of care to further that goal, but if the patient is DNR or on comfort care only, it would be very questionable for a provider to invest the time and resources in doing this.
