This may seem like a very simple question but I am truly looking for the correct answer. Does anyone have any insight on using GA, GY, GZ with anything other than straight Medicare? I know they are ABN modifiers and I know that Advantage plans and replacement plans don't use ABNs that those are straight Medicare only, however from a compliance standpoint should any of those modifiers be used with any advantage/replacement plans or strictly Medicare? I would like to be able to share this information because we are getting conflicting information. Any information anyone else has would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

While these modifiers are technically for traditional Medicare, many MA plans use them as well, also some commercial carriers use them. Sadly, you have to check to see which MA plans (and commercial plans) will accept them or even expect you to use them.
