My name is Theresa Powell. I live in the DC/MD/VA area. I will be taking the CPC exam 7/2015. I am looking for an externship/volunteer opportunity so that I can gain experience. I have been in the healthcare industry for more than 20years. I have a Medical Billing and Coding certification as well as one for Electronic Health Records. Currently, I am a Scheduler. I have experience in billing, medical records, insurance verification, claim denials, appeals, audit and compliance etc. I would very much like to do remote work if possible. I am open to suggestions.
