Hi Everyone,
I am hoping someone can help provide feedback to add to a discussion I am having with one of our pain management physicians. He specifically asked why we bill 64999 for ganglion impar RFAs and states that he believes 64640 is more appropriate.
He asked for some documentation on guidance from AMA/CPT on this. I informed that there is not a direct code for the ganglion impar in CPT. Does anyone have any additional information or feedback on ganglion impar radiofrequency procedure coding? I am hoping we have been on the right page here.

When billing your ganglion impar block using the unlisted code what is the required docs you submit? This will be the first time we do this.
