I am wondering if we can charge seperately a supply charge for the gas we use for cryoablations, such as with 50593. I can not find any information if the charge is included in the CPT. Does anyone have any experience with this?

CCI edits

If you are using Carbocaine (J0670) for the anesthesia agent, this triggers a CCI edit. Since that is most commonly used, you probably can't charge separately.

The gas was Argon gas for the cryoablation and not the anesthesia gas. We are building a charge for it without a HCPC attached, so there will be no additional reimbursement, but we can at least track our costs.
Thank you.
