I have a colonoscopy that started out as a routine screening. It turned into a diagnostic because of the findings. I need to now bill 45380 and 45385. I need to know about the modifers. I know I need a 33 and a 59. Please help with appending them. Is this correct?
45380-33, 45385-59. Would the 33 only be on that one code to indicate that it started out as a routine screening?
