If you only had documentation to review (the provider is not available to query), how could you determine if the anesthesiologist administered general anesthesia or MAC or moderate sedation?
 
The notes should indicate if medication was given and if the patient was intubated. Do you see if the patient was given propofol? or versed? Good indication of what type of anesthesia was administered by the provider.
