Our caridiothoracic surgeon was co-surgeon with a general surgeon and performed a laparoscopically assisted total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy. How would one code this procedure as there is no code for a laparoscopic total gastrectomy without having to resort to using an unlisted procedure code. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
