I need some help with abdominal washout with previous wound VAC device removed. Electrocautery was used over the entire area, no fluid collections, but bile leakage from the liver.
States also abdominal closure. How would I code this? Not too sure! CPT 49000? Then 97605-51? IS abdominal closure included in this?
Also another surgery code for incisional hernia repair would be 45960? 3 procedures are hernia repair, adhesiolysis, and then small bowel enterotomy? The reports states extensive sharp dissection to the small bowel due to the hernia? Would I code these 44005 with a -22 mod and then 44602-51 for the small bowel enterotomy? Or would it be 45960 as primary and then 44602-51 with and not code the Adhesiolysis since it should not be billed with 45960?
