I am receiving conflicting information regarding the catheter selections for our GAE procedures. We have 2 different scenarios. 1) pedal access to SFA to genicular arteries... and 2) CFA to SFA to genicular arteries. The answers I have received are 36245 and 36245x2 for the pedal access case and 36247 and 36248 x 2 for the CFA access case.
After the records for the 36247 and 36248 x 2 (CFA to SFA) case, the insurance is denying stating wrong code billed.
Any input is appreciated.
