If a patient has had a procedure eg: I&D somewhere else and than comes to our office during regular hours or during our urgent care hours as a NEW patient. Can we charge an office visit and re-packing. (pt has never seen us before).Is there a modified we can use to get paid? Thanks

If the I&D was done elsewhere, it's global period doesn't apply to your practice. You would bill the appropriate new patient E/M level for the visit and would not need a modifier.
