If an exploratory lap (90 day global) is done then they have to go back in 15 days for an insertion of a catheter that is unrelated (0 day global) then are follow up visits billable or included within primary procedure?
 
Would you consider your follow-up days related to the initial procedure (the exploratory laparotomy)? If so, then I would say the follow-up days are included in the global package and not separately billable. If they are not related to the initial procedure, then they are billable, but attach a modifier 24 to let insurance know they are unrelated.
