Can someone tell me the global period for CPT 11044?

Zero day global. If you want to know and don't have an encoder with the information, check the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule look up tool and the information is readily available.

when you pass all of the disclaimers, under Type of Information, select "Payment Policy Indicators" or "All" and fill out the rest and you will have the answer (HCPCS = CPT), Global period is under column GLOBAL

000 = Endoscopic or minor procedure with related preoperative and postoperative relative values on the day of the procedure only included in the fee schedule payment amount; evaluation and management services on the day of the procedure generally not payable.

I forgot....one more thing. Did the zero day global take effect on 1-1-18?

I went back to 2011 and it was 000 back then as well.

Another way to check is the RVU files. Its the same information on the Physician Fee Schedule Look up tool. Historical information can be obtained back to 2003
