If a patient was seen in ER and billed fracture care for fracture 2nd metacarpal by the PA in a group practice of PCP's and then seen again in ER three days later by a PCP from the same group because of pain & swelling of the hand but patient was non-compliant with rest & antiflamatory meds can we bill for the second ER visit or is this part of the global package?

This is global to the fracture care which carries a 90-day "post-op" global period.

But I sure do wish we COULD bill those patients who are non-compliant!

Well, it's almost Christmas and I've been a VERY good girl ... maybe I should ask Santa about this.
