If a physician does a 10061 on 04/15 and then discharges pt on 04/16 can the discharge be billed with the procedure having a 10 day global period, I am getting different answers from different people and would like somewhere to print out documentation to back if up.

Thanks

If there is a 10 or 90 day global, you don't bill the discharge. Unless you had some bizarre case where the patient was in the hospital and was admitted / discharged for something unrelated to the surgery / procedure.
