For Medicare there are the global days following a surgery but when looking at the MPFS in the Global Days column there are XXX for the Global Days, which state that Concept does not apply when marked with XXX does that mean that you should pay for the codes 99231-99239 for inpatient subsequent visit by physician?

"XXX Concept Does Not Apply" means that the code isn't a surgical procedure code, so therefore that code would not have its own global surgical period.

You can read more about the Global Surgery and the different definitions in this MLN: https://www.cms.gov/files/document/mln907166-global-surgery-booklet.pdf
