Hello there, AWV G0439 was denied stating that the below reason:

Benefit maximum for this time period or occurrence has been reached

Upon checking, we have only billed G0446 six months prior GO439 visit. Can G0439 (Annual Wellness Visit) and G0446 (Intensive Behavioral Therapy for Cardiovascular Disease) not be billed within the same calendar year, or is there a limitation on billing these two codes within a certain time period?

The Annual Wellness Visit (G0439) can be billed once every 12 months.

G0446 is Annual, face-to-face intensive behavioral therapy for cardiovascular disease. As the code description indicates, it's an annual service (once a year).
