Can anyone provide a link to more information or webinars explaining what a surgeon's office must include in a good faith estimate for a self pay patient? We bill for our services only and have no way of knowing what the hospital is going to charge for their services. From what I am reading, even though we do not have anything to do with the hospital's billing, we will be required to include their services in our estimate. Is this correct?

For 2022, that portion is not being enforced. We do provide the patient with the phone numbers/contact for the facility and/or other providers. The AMA has a pretty in depth toolkit that I have so far only perused. From that toolkit: https://www.ama-assn.org/system/files/ama-nsa-toolkit.pdf
"For the 2022 calendar year, HHS will not enforce the requirement that the convening provider’s or facility’s GFE incorporateestimates from the co-providers or co-facilities. Patients would be free to request estimates directly from co-providers and co-facilities, and those providers and facilities would be required to provide a GFE directly to the patient."
