Very east to follow. Thanks for the info. I havent heard a thing from any of the insurance companies we deal with. Asked a couple of their provider reps and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. So this should be fun :eek:
 
Yeah we are having the same problem here. I know that CMS will release the updated fee schedule/RUV schedules next month, so hopefully that will the the ball rolling for everyone..... I am having flashbacks to the NPI change and all of the problems that caused....

I think I have 309.81.....
 
Thank you for the link jcochran. Can anyone tell me what we would use the 90847 Family psychotherapy (conjoint psychotherapy) (with patient present) code for now that the new codes 90832-90838 all say with patient and/or family member?
 
Psychotherapy with patient or family is when part of the time is spend with the patient and part of the time is spend with just the family. For example if a parent brought their child in and request to speak to the provider alone then the child is seen by themselves.
