Does anyone know the guidelines for coding encephalopathy and occlusion of cerebral arteries. Is the encephalopathy integral to the cerebral artery occlusion?

I would code them as seperate conditions unless the doctor states a relationship.. such as, encephalopathy due to cerebral artery occlusion
