Hello there,
Just wanted to get some different opinions if possible. When there is a gunshot wound through and through, can S31.643A be used? I was under the impression that "with foreign body" means the round would have to be retained in the body, but this is a Practicode case that states the round wasn't located. I used S31.633A but was told this is incorrect, the explanation being that the bullet is a foreign body even if not retained. I understand the bullet is a foreign body, but just don't understand how it can be coded as a retained foreign body when it isn't. Anyone else encounter this case or anything similar? Thank you in advance for your time and help!
