I have not encountered this procedure yet in the 5 years I have been doing OB/GYN coding. We have a new GYN Oncology doctor and I am stumped on the Op Report. Can someone help me figure out the codes for the procedure ?
Procedure Performed: Examination under anesthesia, exploratory laparotomy, extensive lysis of adhesions and retroperitoneal dissection and ureterolysis, en bloc modified radical proximal vaginectomy (lymph nodes were removed) and rectosogmoid colectomy, stapled 33mm circular end to end mid sigmoid colon to rectal anastomosis, resection of ventral hernia sac with hernirrhaphy
DX: Metastic carcinoma originating in the ovaries
