Hi, One of our docs did a laproscopic ovarian cystectomy & only removed the cysts-
no ovaries or tubes-the description of cpt code 58661 states w. removal of adnexal
structures-is this one still the right code thanks, rebecca
 
I was told in an ACOG meeting to use CPT code 58662 for Laparoscopic ovarian cystectomies. I would not use code 58661 this code is used for removal of the tube and or ovary not for a cyst.
