Can anyone out there tell me how to code this scenario:
Patient is 20 years old and comes in for her well woman exam. She only had sex once with a virgin and does not feel the need for a pelvic or breast examination. Doctor is using codes from 99381 - 99397 with V72.31. However, the only physical examination that was done was the "Constitutional" and "Nuerologic/Psychiatric".
Since there is nothing wrong with the patient, how would this be coded? What would be the appropriate CPT and ICD 9 codes? I am stumped.....Please Help! Thanks.
