Hello,

I need so help clarifying if a preventative code needs to be billed along with the pap smear code and breast exam if the patient is only having the well woman exam?

V72.31 is teh preventative code for a general gyn exam and pap smear. For a breast screening exam see V76.1 category for specificity of type.
 
Thank you for the quick response! I actually meant the cpt code for the preventative visits?
