Help!! I am new to Gynecology coding and could use a little insite. I need some clarification on billing for just the pelvic/breast; PAP.

For Medicare we don't use the regular peventive codes (G0438,G0439) I should use
G0101
Q0091

Do commerical insurance companies pay for the G0101 and Q0091 or do I need to use the preventive codes??

I just want to make sure my doctors are getting the most reimbursement for their services.

There are some Medicare replacement plans that do follow Medicare billing guidelines and some that don't. Check with individual payers to find out how they want these visits billed.
