Pt presents to ER with suspect MI. EKG confirms. STEMI is put in place and interventional cardiologist is contacted. Arrives at hospital and pt is taken directly to cath lab. Cardiologist reviews EKG and labs and pt history and performs brief exam. Is the H&P billable separately from cath for Medicare? :rolleyes:
