Does anyone have any good resources for coding hand surgeries?

I would suggest getting the AAOS Complete Global Service Data for Ortho Surgery books. https://www5.aaos.org/store/product...5050.1668514572-1389892697.1666027509&ssopc=1
AAOS is a good resource. https://www.aaos.org/quality/coding-and-reimbursement/ https://www.aaos.org/AAOSNow/2019/Mar/Managing/managing01/
Karen Zupko has some hand webinars and the seminars are great. These two are specifically helpful: https://karenzupko.com/hand-coding-i/ https://karenzupko.com/hand-coding-ii/
CPT Assistant is 100% necessary.
NCCI edits and using the NCCI manual. https://www.cms.gov/files/document/chapter4cptcodes20000-29999final11.pdf

Specialty societies usually have coding tidbits and advice. Finally, payer guidelines and coverage policies as well.

google is your friend :)

I work for four hand specialists. We get a lot of help from subscribing to Karen Zupko & Associates. You can subscribe for free and they also do a lot of webinars that may be helpful that your employer should pay for. You can also submit specific questions and get a professionals response. Google it to get more info. They are great!
