Does anyone out there know whether or not Medicare requires certification CPC at least to perform HCC coding for submission to CMS? if there is something in writing this would be great!!
 
Medicare does not require coders to be certified. A certification is not a Federal or state regulated license. I doubt you will find anything in writing; CMS can't possibly document everything that is not required for their program.
