This is a new code. Has anyone tried billing it yet. It is an injection of phenylephrine and ketorolac 4ml vial. We had a drug rep that told our administrator that Medicare will pay this as a pass through code. We are a free standing Ambulatory Surgery Center. I am just looking to see if anyone has gotten paid yet or if it is even covered in an ASC. It is very expensive and I do not want to buy this and no insurance will pay for it.

You can find this on Addendum BB on the CMS website. C9447 has a K2 payment indicator: Drugs and biologicals paid separately when provided integral to a surgical procedure on ASC list; payment based on OPPS rate.
It states it has an allowable of $418.70.
