kenalog (Triamcinolone acetonide ) per 10mg per ml (IM) code is J3301, but in report if 400mg per 10ml injection apply then how can we calculate?

kenalog (Triamcinolone acetonide ) per 10mg per ml (IM) code is J3301, but in report if 400mg per 10ml injection apply then how can we calculate?

J3301 is billed per 10mg dose.

20mg= J3301 x 2 units
30mg= J3301 x 3 units
etc....

How many mg did the pt receive?

Patient receive 400mg per 10ml kenalog injection.

400 mg per 10 ml is a strength, not a dose. At this strength, if the patient received 1 ml, then the dosage given would be 40 mg (4 units of J3301), but if they received 10 ml, then the dosage would be 400 mg (40 units). If all you have in the documentation is '400 mg per 10 ml', then you would need to query the provider and find out the actual amount administered.
