Can anyone offer insight or guidance on Health and Behavior coding? I want to make sure my providers are reimbursed for their work at a cardio-pulmonary rehab facility.
I have several initial questions . . .
1. Do they need special credentialing? How and with whom is that set up?
2. Since the patients are not being seen for mental health issues, do we use their medical diagnoses?
3. If we use a medical diagnosis, should we file the claim to their medical insurance rather than their MH COP?
4. Is there "best practice" or source of information you have found most helpful?
