I have a patient that had a well check and failed only a portion of the hearing screening and passed a portion. We did bill out the hearing test under the well check. They were referred out to an ENT to have a ear wax removed. They are coming back as a follow up and has Otitis Externa and while in the office they performed the hearing test and the patient passed. What diagnosis should I put on the hearing test to get it paid accurately?

If the physician considered the screening positive for potential hearing loss and recommended follow-up screening or referral for additional testing, V72.11 Encounter for hearing examination following failed hearing screening.
