1.Lap reduction and repair of periumbilical hernia 6 cm in size
2.lap reduction and repair of epigastric ventral hernia 7 cm in size with mesh
the 12 mm trocar was placed in the abdomen and another 5 in the left lower quadrant. examination revealed a periumbilical ventral hernia which was about 6 cm in size with slight omental adhesions that were easily taken down. the second hernia which was more in the upper espigastric area at the midline was close to 7 cm in size and incarcerated with most of the omentum in the subcutaneous tissue. the edges of the hernia neck were carefully divided with l hook bovie electroicautery and the hernia. after full reduction of this hernia both hernias were observed.
