I need urgent help in figuring this out. If a provider says 2 cc's of 40 mg of prednisone was administered - how should this be coded??? I am desperate for an answer and can find nothing on the net to help me.:confused:

I am unclear as to what drug you are asking as there is a different post with a similar question for Methylpred. J1030, 40mgs. In this case, based on what you have share here. The exact drug spelling is needed to be clear on what drug was given. Here is the following answer to your question as described here;

1 cc = 1 ML

HCPCS description:
J2650 prednisone acetate, up to 1 ML

You bill 2 units of J2650
