Pre and post op dx: Subcutaneous nodule, right axilla

Procedure Performed: Excision specimen measured 1 x 2 x 0.5 cm with a resultant 3 cm suture line.

Operative Technique: An elliptical incision was made around the palpable mass, carried down through the subcutaneous tissues. The mass was then sharply excised. Hemostasis was then achieved with electrocautery. The wound was then closed in layers with simple interrupted sutures of 3-0 Monocryl in the subcutaneous space and running subcuticular suture of 4-9 Vicryl and steri-strips for the skin.

I would use the 114 series with 120 for layered closure since it turned out to be a cyst and not a lymph node.

I agree. Use benign lesion excision code and intermediate closure code.
