The right breast area including the adjacent anterior chest was cleansed with ChloraPrep solution. Biopsy entry site was localized under ultrasound imaging guidance. Overlying skin was infiltrated with 1.0% Lidocaine solution. Tiny skin nick was made a #11 scalpel. 20 gauge coaxial needle was utilized. Three passes were made from the nodule located at the 1 o'clock area. Using different entry site, additional three passes were made for the nodule located between 1 and 2 o'clock area. The specimens were placed in a separate tissue fixation solutions. Post biopsy images demonstrate no evidence of significant hemorrhage in the breast tissues.
