This imaging study was accomplished using a Toshiba Aquilion 64 slice MD CT scanner. Prior to intravenous contrast administration, axial images of the abdomen and pelvis were obtained from the dome of the diaphragm through the symphysis pubis. Following uneventful intravenous contrast administration, axial images of the abdomen and pelvis were repeated. Oral contrast was given prior to the examination to opacify bowel loops. 46 cc of non-ionic Isovue 300 intravenous contrast was utilized.
