Hi,

I have a pain management doctor wanting to do ESI's (cpt code 62311, 27096) in the office.

So far I have 62311,77003 and then a J code for the steroid. He has his own fluoroscopy so no modifier on the 77003.

Is there anything else that we can bill out? Can we bill out the anesthesia that the CRNA gave in the office?

Any help greatly appreciated:)

I believe you could bill the epidural code, fluoroscopy code if performed, J code for the steroid administered. If a CRNA performed anesthesia that was MAC then they could bill for that service under their NPI>

Moderate Sedation/ESI's

DWaltman, so do I understand you correctly? It is proper to bill for Moderate sedation 99144 along with 62311 & 77003?

I have a new pain mngt doctor doing this on all of his injections. I have several other physicians that do these procedures but have never billed for or administered moderate sedation. I thought it was very unusual.
