Hello,
About one month ago, Medicaid(in CT) started denying ALL crossovers from Medicare, stating "Taxonomy missing". In fact, they are denying because the "Allowed Amount" from Medicare is not appearing on the claim form that crosses over to Medicaid. So Medicaid sees what Medicare paid, but not what Medicare allows, and so cannot calculate what it(Medicaid) should pay as secondary. I have to collect information on each claim, go to Medicaid's website, and input the "Medicare Calculated Allowed Amount". I hit submit and it pays immediately. I have done 33, and have 88 more in my queue. Of course, we continue to submit new Medicare/Medicaid claims every day. This is untenable.
Has anyone ever experienced this? I am getting nowhere with Medicare or Medicaid. Same for my billing company. Thank you, Sheena
