Hello everyone! We are a dermatology practice that also employs a family medicine physician who sees general derm, to include skin biopsies. Does anyone know if our dermatologist (who reads his own slides and bills for professional component only) is able to also read our FM doctor's slides and bill for professional component? I cannot find any guidance anywhere other than if our derm was also a dermatopathologist, which he is not. Currently, we are sending all biopsies for our FM doc to an outside lab.
