Would you ever use V23.7 Insufficient prenatal care on a Newborn's claim? I have seen this on the mother's claim, but never on a newborn's claim.
What would you use on a newborn's claim to show they had not rec'd prenatal care?

I would consider prenatal, a code for the mother and these codes would not go on the newborn's billing.

Asked and answered on another thread. V23.7 is for mom's claim during pregnancy only. Newborn you would code any condition that resulted from lack of prenatal care, otherwise it isn't significant.
