Would you ever use V23.7 Insufficient prenatal care on a Newborn's claim? I have seen this on the mother's claim, but never on a newborn's claim.
What would you use on a newborn's claim to show they had not rec'd prenatal care?

the V23.xx codes are for use during the pregnancy, so I don't believe it is appropriate to append to a newborn claim. I don't think there is a code for insufficient prenatal care for a newborn, usually you are just coding for any conditions that occured as a result.
