I just started a new job doing remote E&M coding. Due to a backlog of work I was assigned OB coding which I have no experience in. I was told that these providers do not bill global OB services and to code by E&M. My question is, if I can't determine from the documentation if this is the pts 2nd visit or 8th visit, how do I know what code to use?? I have also noticed some of them are using Z codes( Z1032) which only makes it more confusing! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
