Hello,
I cannot seem to find much documentation on the overlapping of timed codes. My question is can an acupuncturist bill two timed codes that overlap at the same time?
The provider record is documented that patient was in the office for one hour, but is billing 8 units of various acupuncture and PT codes. The provider states she is doing two things at the same time.
I assume this is not payable, but as I mentioned I am unable to find any guidelines that mention the overlapping of these two types of timed codes.
