If psychiatry is consulted in the ER and then that same day or next day the patient is admitted to mental health ward...should the psyche doc charge an admit(ex.99221) consult(99241 or 99281) or the psyche eval code 90801...

Psych admission

The Psych MD consult visit in the ED should get "rolled" into the psych admission. The day of admission in psychiatry should be 90801.
