Can anyone tell me please that is my doctor was doing a cath and the pt went into vfib arrest can I bill the cardioversion 92960 in addition or is it inclusive?
Thank you

The cardioversion would be inclusive to the cath. If you look at the code description in CPT for cardioversion 92960 it states "elective" meaning that the patient has elected to proceed with the procedure. If the provider is cardioverting the patient during a heart cath, it is no longer an elective procedure.
