Wiki Help with coding echos (dilation)

Hi everyone,

I have done a ton of research and I have been guided in different ways so I am hoping someone may be able to help.

If the echo states:

The LEFT ventricle is dilated would you code I42.0 or I51.7 and why?

I am having similar confusion with
The right ventricle is dilated
The right Atrium is dilated
The left atrial cavity is dilated

My co workers and I have different opinions on which dx code is correct. Any help with this is greatly appreciated!
