OPERATION: Exploratory laparotomy, lysis of adhesions, biopsy of intra-abdominal lesions and repair of small bowel.
PROCEDURE: The patient was taken to the operating room and placed in the supine position. The abdomen was shaved, prepped and draped in a sterile fashion. A generous midline incision was made from above umbilicus down towards pubis with scalpel. Electrocautery was used to divide the intra-abdominal wall fascia. The peritoneum was entered. There were some dense adhesions of small bowel and omentum to anterior abdominal wall which were lysed. There was tumor burden of the anterior abdominal wall with studding and carcinomatosis. There is some very friable small bowel. An enterotomy was repaired with interrupted silk Lembert sutures.
