This patient has esophageal cancer, which has now progressed to a malignant brain tumor.

She has been referred to physical therapy because of "upper extremity weakness" due to the brain tumor.

I am not sure what icd9 code to use for this "upper extremity weakness". I thought 728.87but someone else is suggesting 438.2 [which I don't think is a reimbursable code]

Can someone please respond.

Thank you,
CW

I don't see how hemiplegia 438.2 fits with "upper extremity weakness"?

I'm leaning toward 729.89, 150.9, 198.3.
